Was thinking of installing a wood stove - can a stove pipe go up through the house up past the roof?

The chimney portion that goes thru the ceiling and roof must be approved, insulated, double, or triple wall piping made for that purpose. The sell metal chimney kits for this. The portion inside the room can be standard single wall stovepipe. Around here, Menards sells the proper chimney pipe and fittings.
