New Yorkers: What is there to do on a summer day in the city?

uming that the weather is hot what would be a good day in the city that isn't typical tourist attractions as i have already done them on a previous visit. I will be having a long stay in the city so i need something that can be done more than once. I don't mind the price but also some cheap suggestions would be good.
