Camcorders? Hitachi d36ft hd pocket camcorder..is it good?

Those two models are basic pocket camcorders. I would choose the Hitachi D36FT for several reasons. The Hitachi has 5X optical zoom and the Toshiba only shows 4X digital zoom which you should not consider since digital zoom is a computer generated magnification of the pixels and not true len zoom. The Hitachi has both a digital and optical image stabilizer, the Toshiba only has a digital image stabilizer. And the Hitachi can function as a webcam (using the A/V cable). The Toshiba doesn't include that.
