Should the Detroit LIONS?
Yes, I do. It will help tremendously. While the Lions did an excellent job bolstering its DL, there is still one flaw in it: no NT. Corey Williams and Ndamakong Suh are both 3 tech DT's, which means their primary role is to get after the QB. Haynesworth can do that and act as a 1 tech DT, which is the role of a NT (whether in a 3-4 or 4-3 defensive scheme). With the addition of Haynesworth, Detroit can now stop the run and rush the per. Without him, I have a big feeling that teams will be able to run at ease against Detroit. They need a big stout DT to clog up the line, occupy blockers, and stop the run. Haynesworth would get the job and would provide an excellent rotation on that Defensive Line with Corey Williams potentially subbing in for him on obvious ping downs.
