Jesus was a revolutionary in his time. Why is today's Christian bent on absolute conformism to the state?

Jesus saw an evil society and attempted to change it. Today's Christian is led like a sheep by just about any conservative politician that professes to have "Christian values". Maybe so-called followers of Christ need to truly start asking themselves WWJD. I doubt He'd be too thrilled with capitalism and the way American operates.
