Question about B/C?!?

So i've decided I want to go back on b/c for awhile, I was on Sprintec for a couple of years mostly because of cysts and painful cycles. But after my fiance got my pregnant and I miscarried and we broke up I haven't been close to anyone since and now i have a boyfriend. I just don't want to chance anything else happening. Anyways, I wasn't always great about taking the pill at the same time everyday or never missing one, i know i need to set an alarm for it. But I was also looking at the depo provera shot? Has anyone been on that and how does it compare to the pill?, Also, did anyone have alot of breakthrough bleeding with depo? The first month i was on the pill was like every other week of spotting. Thanks for the imput!
